Gunsmithing services WE offer

Over the last 20+ years of gunsmithing, I’ve focused my craft on building and refining bolt-action rifles that shoot to their full potential. Whether you’re putting together a lightweight hunting rifle or a competition-ready precision build, my work is centered on repeatable accuracy, reliability, and clean, correct fit and finish. I’ve honed my process around the custom services below—so you know exactly what I do, what I do best, and what you can expect when you trust your rifle to my shop.

What we Offer

  • I build your rifle from the ground up around your exact goals—cartridge, barrel specs, action setup, stock/chassis fit, feeding, trigger, and final assembly. Your barrel blank is custom chambered with more care and control than a factory chamber, and you can specify the details that matter for your cartridge and ammo choice. The barrel is then machined and fit to your action with extremely tight tolerances for proper alignment, smooth function, and repeatable accuracy—resulting in a purpose-built rifle that holds zero, runs reliably, and performs at its full potential in the field or on the line.

  • I remove the existing barrel and install a properly fit, chambered, and headspaced barrel to your chosen cartridge and specs (length, contour, twist, threading as needed). The result is a rifle that’s essentially “new at the muzzle end”—restored or improved accuracy and barrel life, with a chamber and headspace set up for consistent performance.

  • Chambering/Threading - $450
I chamber a barrel to your selected cartridge with correct headspace and throat geometry, and thread the muzzle to the pitch you need for a brake or suppressor mount, finishing with an appropriate crown. The result is safe, precise chamber dimensions and a concentric muzzle interface—better consistency, improved compatibility with your muzzle device, and accuracy that isn’t compromised by poor alignment.

    Threading Only - $150
I thread the muzzle to the pitch you need for a brake or suppressor mount and finish it with a proper crown. The result is a concentric, secure muzzle interface that resists shifting, aligns your device correctly, and preserves accuracy.

  • I true the action surfaces that matter—bringing critical interfaces into alignment (receiver face, lug seats, threads, bolt fit as applicable) so the barrel, bolt, and receiver all run on the same axis. The result is improved consistency shot-to-shot, better lug engagement, and a rifle that tends to be easier to tune and more repeatable over time, especially in precision builds.

  • PILLAR BEDDING - $300
I bed the action to the stock to create a stable, stress-free interface (and address recoil lug support and action fit), ensuring the stock supports the action consistently under recoil and environmental changes. The result is a more stable zero, less sensitivity to torque and temperature/humidity shifts, and improved consistency—especially for hunting rifles that see real-world conditions.

CHASSIS SKIM BEDDING - $200 I skim bed the action into the chassis to eliminate tiny gaps and create a precise, stress-free fit with solid recoil lug support. The result is more consistent torque and return-to-zero, improved stability under recoil, and better repeatability shot to shot.

BASE RAIL BEDDING - $100 ‍ I bed the scope base rail to fill micro-gaps and ensure full, aligned contact with the action. The result is a more secure mount that resists shifting under recoil and helps the optic hold zero.

  • OPTICS MOUNTING - $75
Professional optics mounting ensures your scope, rings, and base are properly aligned, torqued, and secured. The result is a level optic that holds zero, tracks reliably, and avoids issues like ring stress or shifting under recoil.

ARCA SWISS RAIL INSTALLATION ON STOCKS - $150
Having a gunsmith install an ARCA rail helps you avoid crooked alignment, weak mounting points, stripped hardware, and cracking or crushing the stock from overtightening. It also prevents “spin-out” T-nuts/inserts and rail loosening under recoil or tripod/barricade load—so the rail stays solid, square, and dependable.
